About K-Food Hack
K-Food Hack is a small independent site run from Seoul, South Korea. We read Korean food packaging every day, so we decode it for people who buy Korean groceries abroad.
What you’ll find here
- Official cooking directions for popular Korean groceries, rewritten in plain English.
- The facts printed on the label: size, calories, allergens and storage.
- The Korean words on the pack, with their pronunciation.
- A label decoder for packs we haven’t covered yet.
How we check facts
Cooking times, temperatures, amounts and label facts come from the maker’s website or package, checked against at least one more source, usually a store listing that shows the pack. Each page lists its sources and the date we checked them. When sources disagree, for example a US pack and a UK pack, we show both instead of picking one.
Serving ideas are marked as ideas. They are not part of any maker’s directions.
Independence
We are not affiliated with any brand or store mentioned on this site, and nobody pays for a mention. If we ever add affiliate links or ads, we’ll label them and update our privacy policy first.
Spotted a mistake?
Packs change. If yours says something different, email contact@kfoodhack.com with the product name and, if you can, a photo of the directions. We fix confirmed errors and update the page date.
