Yopokki cups are instant tteokbokki, Korean rice cakes in sauce, that you make in the microwave in their own cup. The directions below are from the UK packs of the Sweet & Spicy (140 g) and Cheese (120 g) cups.
Official directions
Microwave in the cup [1][2][3][4][5]
- Put the rice cakes and the sauce or seasoning powder in the cup.
- Add water up to the fill line on the cup.
- Stir well and set the lid on loosely, at an angle.
- Microwave for 2 minutes at 1000 W, or 3 minutes at 700 W.
Where’s the line? For the Sweet & Spicy cup, two listings say about 20 ml of water up to a red line on the outside of the cup, while Tesco’s says a line inside. For the Cheese cup, it’s the line inside. Follow the line printed on your cup.
If there’s a small oxygen-absorber sachet in the cup, throw it away. It isn’t food.[1][4]
